Patient Priority Medical Care PC understands that navigating the immigration process can be overwhelming. That’s why we offer comprehensive immigration physical exams tailored to meet the requirements set by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Our USCIS-approved civil surgeon is here to provide you with the necessary medical examinations needed for your Green Card medical examination.

What to Expect

Our immigration medical exams are thorough and designed to ensure you meet all health requirements for your visa application. During your appointment, our experienced team will conduct:

Complete Medical History Review

Our civil surgeon will begin by reviewing your medical history. Be prepared to discuss your past illnesses, surgeries, and any chronic conditions. You should bring medical records, especially if you have been treated for any significant health conditions or have a history of communicable diseases.

Physical Examination

During this process, the civil surgeon will perform a comprehensive physical examination to evaluate your overall health. We will measure your vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate. We will conduct a general assessment of your health, which may include examining your eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, lungs, abdomen, and skin. We will also look for any signs of illness or medical issues that could be relevant to your immigration application.

Vaccination Assessment

We will check your vaccination records and administer any necessary vaccinations to comply with USCIS requirements. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella). Some of the required vaccination includes: Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), Varicella (Chickenpox) and Hepatitis B. If you have already received some of these vaccinations, it’s essential to bring your vaccination records to the exam. If you are missing any required vaccinations, our civil surgeon will administer them during the appointment.

Laboratory Tests

We will administer essential tests, including blood tests for syphilis and other communicable diseases. These are performed to ensure compliance with immigration regulations. Tuberculosis screening will also be conducted, typically using a skin test or blood test, to meet USCIS requirements.

Mental Health Evaluation

We will assess your mental health to determine if any mental health disorders might pose a risk to public safety. Conditions such as severe psychiatric disorders or any history of harmful behavior will be evaluated.

After the Exam: Submission to USCIS

Once the immigration physical exam is complete, our civil surgeon will fill out Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. The completed form must be sealed and submitted to USCIS by the applicant or their legal representative.

It’s important to note that the Form I-693 must be submitted within a specific timeframe after the exam to remain valid. Make sure to follow your physician’s guidance and the USCIS timelines to avoid delays in your application process.
